Right....here we go. I have to go back 30 years to the beginning. Me and Ade first met in a small market town in the East Midlands called Newark - On - Trent where we both attending college to take a Music Industry Management course. We were the two eldest on the course in our mid 20's so we found common ground straight away. We soon evolved into a foursome with Nic and Guy joining the gang. Ade was a musician and I had managed local bands and DJ'd around Bristol. Guy was a DJ and lived local and had been DJing within the local dance scene.
A few months into the course we were set an assignment to organise a local event, purely on paper if you were but we thought we would take it a step further and organise a club night. We thought of a name easily enough...'The Vinyl Frontier ' so all we needed was a venue. The Swan & Salmon Tap on the banks of the canal was visited and after a quick discussion with the landlord Malcolm we were booked in and all.set.
The Vinyl Frontier was a success but me and Ade weren't fully functioning dance music DJ's so Guy did the majority of the work. We soon branched out though and started other themed nights including the Cheesy Club with us both playing various finds from local charity shops!
Anyway college ended with Ade returning to his native London with Guy & Nic following suit. I returned to Bristol but would visit the big smoke regularly to see everyone.

Fast forward and Ade moved back up North with his partner who was from the Chester area and after meeting my partner I moved to Widnes in 2006. We would meet from time to time for a catch up and the obligatory 8 or 9 pints but nearly not enough. One Sunday I travelled over to Chester for a day on the sesh and we both started talking about how great it would be to find a small bar that wouldn't mind us playing our favourite music for a few hours. Sunday afternoons was sighted as a good idea to fit in with my awful job at the time. What a great excuse to meet up more often we thought. A few more pints were sank and Ade took me into a relatively new Craft Beer Bar called 'That Beer Place'. The owner Dale was very welcoming and before I knew it I had spouted out 'Do you have DJ's in here?'.... of course the answer was yes and a few months later 'The Magic Roundabout ' was born!
